1. Who can take part in this campaign?

Repsol employees around the world whose contract is valid until the end of the year. It will not be able to participate neither External personnel nor interns.

2. Can employees’ family members present projects?

No, they can only be presented by employees of the company.

3. Is there a deadline for presenting projects?

This year there is a single application period, until 29 September, at 14:00 (GMT +1). Proposals received after this date will not be considered.

4. Do I have to send attached supporting documentation for the project?

What is most important is that the description of the project must be complete in order to properly evaluate it.

5. What kind of projects can participate?

The projects presented must belong to a legally constituted charity organization or NGO which is registered in the corresponding official bodies; therefore, projects managed by individuals or unofficial organizations will not be accepted.

With this initiative, we want to contribute to making the world a better place, so projects located in any part of the world may be proposed, no matter what country they are in.

6. Must the proposed project have a set duration?

Although the projects may be already under way, the part presented in this call must be executed once the projects have been funded through the Giving Platform. Projects cannot seek funding for costs they have already incurred, or which took place before the end of the project application period.

7. When and how do I find out if I’ve been chosen?

We’ll contact you via email to communicate whether your project has been selected, and the selected projects will be posted on the website.

8. What does my project being chosen mean for me?

You are the guarantor of the project, which will be monitored throughout its implementation, with you as the link between the beneficiaries and Fundación Repsol. This will involve some direct contact, which may include interviews, photos, videos, etc.

9. When and how will I receive the money?

The money will be deposited in the charity organization’s checking account once all the necessary documentation to make the donation has been received. The current account must not, under any circumstances, be in the name of an individual.

10. What contacts will I have for anything that may come up if my project is chosen?

When you are informed that your project has been selected the contact person will be indicated.

11. My project won’t upload to the website. What should I do?

The files you are trying to attach may be over the specified maximum size. Revise the files and try again, bearing in mind that you don’t need to go into great detail.

12. Who decides which projects get chosen?

A committee made up of personnel from Fundación Repsol, Fundación Lealtad and Fundación SERES will review and evaluate all the projects received and select the four top-scoring projects to become part of the Giving Platform.

13. What criteria does the committee use?

The Fundación Repsol will review each of the proposals and select those that best represent the values promoted by the Foundation, such as solidarity and the integration and protection of vulnerable communities anywhere in the world. The bases set out in detail the criteria used and the qualities that are valued most highly.

14. How long will this campaign last?

This year there is a single application period from 1 July 2019 to 31 October 2019, at 14:00 (GMT +2)

15. What area does the campaign cover?

The campaign is global. Any Repsol employee, anywhere in the world, can participate.

16. What does the support consist of?

The support will be €10,000 for each project, independently of the total cost of the project. This support will come from the economic collection by employees through the Giving Platform (maximum 5,000 €) and from the Fundación Repsol, which will donate 5,000 € for each project. The grant will be given to a single organisation.

17. How must the projects be presented?

To present your project, you must fill in the whole form in the section “Tell us how to make the world a better place”. Remember to fill in all fields, providing your contact information and information about the project and the entity.

18. Can I present more than one project?

Yes. Each employee can present up to 5 projects.

19. Can we present projects as a group?

Yes, proposals can be presented by more than one employee, but they must be under the name of just one employee, with the others mentioned under comments if desired.

20. What should you do if your project is selected?

If your project is one of those selected to form part of the pool of Repsol Giving Platform projects, you will be notified by email.

After that there will be a voting period so employees can choose which four projects in the eight finalists will be added to the Repsol Giving Platform.

The final eight projects must have the documentation specified in the bases in order to be considered for the Repsol Giving Platform.
